No refunds/transfers/credits on cancellations, regardless of illness or a change in personal circumstance.
When purchasing a ticket on someone else’s behalf please ensure the recipient is available on the date the event is due to occur, as their inability to attend does not entitle them to a refund/transfer/credit. If in doubt, a simple option might be for you to purchase a gift card via The Essential Ingredient website, or over the counter in store.
Please enquire as to whether a class can accommodate particular dietary requirements prior to purchase as we’re unable to provide you with a refund/transfer/credit note after the fact.
We reserve the right to alter or cancel a cooking class. In the event of any alterations or cancellations, every effort will be made to contact and accommodate participants. In the event of a class cancellation we are happy to refund the cost of the class to you. Please note, however, that we cannot provide you with a refund of the booking fee if you purchased your ticket online using Eventbrite. If the class is rescheduled and you are unable to attend you will also be entitled to a full refund. Every effort will also be made to reschedule the class within 30 days of its original date.
COVID-19 UPDATE: Our online team, along with our delivery partner Australia Post, is working hard to ensure you receive your items as quickly as possible. Due to extended COVID-19 lockdowns and high parcel volumes, customers may experience delivery delays. Your patience and understanding is appreciated in these uncertain times.
Shipping is available Australia-wide, with standard shipping charged at a flat rate of $10 and express shipping at $15. All orders over $150 include free standard shipping. Free shipping offer valid for orders from 10:30am 5th January, 2022.
Orders are carefully picked and packed by hand, then dispatched from our Sydney warehouse. Please allow 2-3 business days to process your order. Estimated delivery times are calculated from the time of dispatch and can vary, especially during busy periods. Once your order is dispatched you will receive an email with tracking information (please also check your junk folder).
In the unlikely event that any item/s in an order are subjected to unexpected delays you will be contacted via email or by telephone to advise that the item/s have been placed on back order and to be provided with an expected delivery date. At this time, you can either cancel the items from your order or wait until the backordered item/s are back in stock.
Due to import/export restrictions, The Essential Ingredient currently only delivers within Australia.
International customers please note: While The Essential Ingredient ships only within Australia, we do accept orders placed overseas for delivery within Australia. For assistance, email firstname.lastname@example.org .
Acceptance of order:
At the time of placing an order, The Essential Ingredient will send you a confirmation email with the details of your order. This is not an acceptance of your order. Orders are only accepted when The Essential Ingredient accepts and ships the order. The Essential Ingredient reserves the right to accept or decline, in whole or in part, any order placed.
Incorrect information and attempted delivery:
Delivery costs are calculated based on the information provided by the Customer at the time of placing the order. Where a delivery address is incomplete, incorrect or otherwise undeliverable, or where the delivery service has attempted but been unable to successfully complete delivery, our postage providers may charge additional fees for parcel returns and collections. These fees will be charged to the customer prior to the re-release of the order. The Essential Ingredient will make contact with the customer in these instances to confirm delivery details prior to processing any additional fees (and prior to re-releasing goods).
