NEW – Sweet & Savoury Breadmaking

Presented by Kelly Syms
About the class

Are yeasted breads your Achille’s Heel? Fear not – we’re here to guide you through a few back-pocket recipes that will give you foundational skills so you can traverse the wild world of yeast with more confidence and a little bit of flair.

We’ll learn all about the stages of dough making – mixing, proofing, moulding/shaping and then the final proof and bake. You’ll also get invaluable technical advice about how time and temperature plays a critical role in baking, and how to use that to your advantage.

Baker Kelly Syms will show you how to take each of these recipes and chop and change them for different flavour profiles and cuisines.

Your Menu

  • Hearth-style No Knead Loaf with Toasted Grains
  • Parker House Rolls with Smokey, Spiced Drawn Butter
  • Brioche Rounds with Rhubarb, Orange and Vanilla
  • Scallion Flatbreads with Gochujang and Black Sesame
