Where do we begin?
Join Salma for a full day and create this masterpiece to take home.
What is this beautiful creation?
It’s a Lemon Curd and Coconut Cake. A light lemon cream cheese cake, filled with tangy lemon curd and covered in coconut swiss meringue buttercream.
From 9 am to 2.30pm Salma will expertly guide you through all of the elements required to build this cake – and build it you will!
There is much skill to be acquired, from mixing a delicate batter, making the most delicious lemon curd suitable for filling a cake as well as trouble shooting and nailing velvety swiss meringue buttercream.
You will also be taught perfect layer cake assembly. Cut your cake layers with confidence, pipe a frosting dam and fill it with curd and learn techniques for frosting a naked cake.
Finish it off with fresh flower decorations (courtesy of Still Life Floral Art) and a celebratory glass of bubbles!
It’s an epic class, which includes morning tea, lunch, your own set of Masterpro non-stick round layer cake pans (RRP $39.95) and fresh flowers, all under the tutelage of The Polka Dotter.
