Born in Penang Malaysia, Wanitha is now a consultant for Tourism Malaysia, has her own cooking company Wanitha inc which hosts small and large scale cooking classes from in house parties to team building events at the Opera House.
She’s based in Sydney and is making the journey North – DO NOT MISS OUT!
In this snappy 2 and a half hour workshop we will nail two traditional Vietnamese taste sensations and a few accompaniments. Vietnamese cooking is greatly admired for the use of fresh ingredients, a minimal use of diary and oil, along with the diverse and thoughtful use of textures with a strong reliance on herbs and vegetables. With its delicate balance between fresh herbs and meat, it is considered one of the healthiest cuisines. We start with a deliciously zesty pomelo and calamari salad – and you will be shown how to clean and prepare a whole calamari – but the salad shares the spotlight with street food fave Com Tam, which is a pork chop with lemon grass.
