In this snappy 2 and a half hour workshop we will nail two traditional Vietnamese taste sensations and a few accompaniments. Vietnamese cooking is greatly admired for the use of fresh ingredients, a minimal use of diary and oil, along with the diverse and thoughtful use of textures with a strong reliance on herbs and vegetables. With its delicate balance between fresh herbs and meat, it is considered one of the healthiest cuisines. Banh Xeo is a crispy pancake with Prawns (and I don’t know about you, but there’s no part of that description didn’t make me salivate), but Banh Xeo will share the spotlight with street food fave Com Tam, which is a pork chop with lemon grass. Com Tam – Street food Favourite Pork chop with lemon grass. It will all be served with rice, salad and dipping sauce.
It’s intense flavours, lots to learn and even more to taste – all at the hands of a master!
