In store now, the beautiful images of our amazing Food Stylist Caitlin Bell matched with moving words by our resident Food Historian & Writer Grace Mooney.
Be sure to pop in, stay a while and immerse yourself in their world.
Caitlin Bell has been passionate about food from a very young age. Eating it, cooking it, dreaming it- it was only natural that her career should be about food.
After leaving a job as a professional Chef for some of Melbourne’s best restaurants, Caitlin took on a role at The Essential Ingredient which is where she discovered the world of food styling.
Caitlin now works in Melbourne as a food stylist and food economist in advertising, website content and television commercials.
Grace Mooney studied at Monash University completing a BA with Honours in 2014. In her Honours year she investigated the changing food culture in Britain throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, with a particular focus on the influence of the celebrity chefs during that time period.
Although her area of study has primarily been British food history, she has become increasingly interested in Australian food history and culture.
Aside from food history, Grace is a collector of vintage items- from antiquity through to the 1950’s, particularly kitchenware and home wares. She has a large collection of books (a lot of cookbooks) and of course spends a considerate amount of time cooking and baking!
