Camargue Black Rice

Camargue Black Rice

Last updated

Since introducing our Camargue Red Rice in Australia, it has quickly become one of our most popular products.

Now, in response to requests from some of this Australia’s top chefs, and with recipes appearing in culinary magazines and online, we are proud to add Camargue Black Rice to our exclusive range of products.

Like the red rice, Camargue Organic Black Rice is a wholegrain, full of fibre and antioxidants.

Its al dente texture and beautiful nutty flavour (with a subtle aroma of freshly baked bread) makes it a particularly delicious addition to braises, vegetables, salads and more, while the appealing ebony/purple colour adds a dramatic effect to any dish you choose to serve this black rice with.

Grown in the region of The Camargue, southern France, after which it is named, a unique marshland area between the Mediterranean and the two arms of the Rhône River delta provide this black rice with the climate and nutrients it requires.

Preparing it is simple: simply boil in plenty of water until tender (but still al dente), then drain. Drizzle with quality olive oil, toss through a dressed salad, serve alongside grilled fish or meat, or find your own unique application.

To find out more or to pick up a bag of Camargue Organic Black Rice, contact your nearest The Essential Ingredient store, or buy online now for delivery anywhere in Australia.
